I just bought the game here on itch.io. I extracted the game to a folder on my desktop. Every time I run the executable file a window with a red exclamation mark and a picture of a bird will appear for a short time, then immediately close. Is this problem known, and is there a solution to it? I am running on windows 10.

Can you try sending me the Unity log file?

Also, just some general things to try - re-downloading the game / restarting your computer?
Thanks for the log. It seems like it is some sort of hardware issue.
Three more things to try:
- If you're using a second monitor, try unplugging it and launching the game with only one.
- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
- Try running the game with the command line arguement: "-force-glcore"
