So having made a non-linear game about collecting keys, of course I'd enjoy this one, a non-linear game about collecting keys. Though I think here the theme is more of hindrance to the game design -- it would be more interesting if the animals were placed around the map and it being more puzzle-y as to how you use them rather than it just being random. Also, some of the jumps are floaty, especially the toucan, which becomes really frustrating because of the appearing and disappearing platforms. I think you could still have the toucan be the floatiest if instead of falling slower all the time, the player could jump again to flap their wings and slow the bird's fall temporarily. But yeah game jam so I understand that being hard to implement. Plus I guess you want the animals to have advantages and disadvantages and that would clearly make the bird the best.

But again, I'm the type of person that likes exploring a map with cute animals in a non-violent adventure, so I did enjoy this one.
