Good stuff:

  • I liked the music and avatars.
  • The Menu UI was crisp and the multiple characters is a nice way of teasing content

Critique:

  • I felt constantly overwhelmed by enemies. I had no real tactics except run away and shoot. Being overwhelmed was doubly bad because if I did kill an enemy I had to keep running away, missing the vital XP.
  • The spells activated so infrequently that the powerups feel impactful. 

What I'd Like to See:

  • Reduced enemy density or more crowd control options so I could feel more in control of the flow
  • The dice rolls earnt me the "specials" and I could activate them when I wanted to would reduce randomisation, and improve strategic depth
