Thanks for taking the time to play our game! It definitely needs some polish and we'll update it as soon as the Game Jam restrictions are lifted. We're aware of the "next level" button issue as well as a few other ones.

I'd like to hear more about the "impossible goal times" feedback though, if you could elaborate on that. We didn't have much time to implement a proper, detailed "How to Play" menu, so I'm unsure if all the instructions were clear enough.  The key mechanic to reach the goal times is to land correctly at the Numbered Tiles.

When you land on a Numbered Tile, it checks for the value that's shown at the Dice Face that's facing up. So when you land the Dice with the "6" face facing up on a tile with a number 6 on it, you will get some particle effects (as well as a confirmation sound) that you did it right. When you successfully do that right, that number will be subtracted from "Your Time".

So, in this case, when you perform a Numbered Tile move correctly with a number 6 on it, you will get -6 seconds on the total time. So the trick here is to figure out an optimized route and move pattern that will allow you to land correctly on as many Numbered Tiles as possible, while still moving forward at a fast pace. Some Numbered Tiles are just there to mess with you and throw you off of your route, and therefore should be ignored.

If you land on enough Numbered Tiles, it's actually even possible to get negative goal times! It's pretty fun when you figure out a route that works well (and there are always multiple routes that can lead to victory, so even if you do win, there might still be a way to get an even lower time).

Did you understand that mechanic before, or was it badly communicated? The plain text "How to Play" menu is hardly the ideal choice, especially for some initially confusing mechanics such as this one, but it's all we had time to do near the end. Things we can (and will!) do immediately is to detail all this information on the game's itch.io page, and we will do that as soon as we get up from bed, since we are very sleep deprived, lol. But maybe you had some other issue? I'd love to hear back from you so we can make the game better!

If this was the source of your issue, though, it would also be great to hear back from you in case you go back and try again, and maybe find some new routes even us couldn't find yet! Either way, thanks for playing!
