Charging up a higher throw strength means you get a higher chance for numbers like 4-6, low throw strength means a higher chance for numbers 1-3. Although it's fine not to really use it, you can still get a 6 with low throw strength, or a 1 with high throw strength (as it is a roll of the dice and not precise control.)
