like a few other people getting a fatal error. I'm running Windows 11 on an HP Spectre x360 14. Here's the error message that's dropped into my clipboard when it crashes on launch:

Also if it's relevant I'm using the itch app for this. I'll reply back if it ends up working when just running from the desktop.
UPDATE: Nope, still doesn't work that way either. Also, if it helps TMOD is popping up a Windows Firewall bypass request at the same time as crashing with a fatal error the first time it launches.
