Why is not in your house? You still have to save him, you let him go after saving him, you used lust potion on him or he should be in the house but the option to talk to him doesn't show up?
It's a bug that usually is resolved by doing other things in the house like relieving yourself. Another option could be save and load. I don't have other suggestions, sorry.
