yes you can, grab keys and click the lock 1 time

Apologies for the confusion!

As mentioned already, first just pickup the keys.
Then, hit tab until you're holding the keys.
Lastly, left-click a door once to lock it. (Click it again if you want to unlock it!)

I'm trying to make sure the gameplay mechanics are cleaner and more refined for future game.  :)
