Hey, it was quite a good game which makes clever use of the mechanics, the only thing I would really complain about was the music loops pause, other than that great job!

Developer

thanks a lot I'll make sure to try your game out to

I just love how you tied the game story with the theme! It definitely made the experience really fun and unique, it's a really creative game. Nice work!

Cool game! I like the mechanic of going back the way you came after death. As said from another comment, there is the A and B problem when is should be A and S.  The only other issue was that there was some thing that bounced me to the other direction at the beginning of one of the levels after you die, and my character went on without anything to take me back. If there was something back there, it was taking too long to get to it. Aside from the problems, for as far as I got, it was fun. I kept getting confused in the ghost mode because I kept accidentally avoiding the obstacles that you could move through, which added to the difficulty of the game, but I found that fun. The speed ups and the slow downs were pretty nice as well, it helped ease around some obstacles, or made the level quicker to pass.

Thanks so much, about the mirrors which the whole point is changing direction I needed them to increase the length of the final level. Thanks a lot anyways ill make sure to check your game as well.

Simple but fun game.  The 'controls' says that A goes up and B goes down.  When I was playing it was 'W' and 'S' to go up and down.  I go to the 'midpoint' of the game, but on the return trip (trying to avoid spoilers a bit) I kind of gave up because the reset was so far back.  I noticed that instead of just hitting the top and bottom walls that colliding with those was a loss condition.  Might be more fun to just hit and stop moving.  Also, adding some music and SFX would have been nice.  Otherwise, good job!

Developer

Hi first of all thanks so much for playing ill make sure to try your game as well. About a and b I was distracted while texting and wrote a mistake. After the midpoint I try to keep the format of the original structure since you are traveling back, I assume a higher speed might fix it. And about the top and bottom walls, I couldn't make it work otherwise. I had music added so I guess there was an error. Thanks so much for the feedback I'll make sure to fix those issues after the game jam finishes cause I believe I'm not allowed right now.

Thanks for the reply.  I was just playing another game and it had a volume slider and I couldn't hear anything.  Turns out my PC was muted.  Sorry about that.  I'm sure your music was in the game and it was just my setup at the time.

I noticed my submission like others has Microsoft sending privacy messages saying my force might be dangerous. If that happens you have to right-click and press keep then open the file and press more information to click keep and lastly click yes when asking to make changes. Don't worry it happens to other submissions installers as well just click those and it should work just fine. Otherwise, download the source and open it through the unity editor but menu sizes are gonna be off.

sooooooooooooooo good game

Hi, I noticed your submission is missing source. Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game.

Developer

Hi, i made my game an installer, if you download it and accept all those privacy thingies you should be able to play it. For some reason my HTML wasn't working so I made an installer. Plz explain me what went wrong to fix it

Developer

Should I put it as a unity file to open it on a game engine or can I leave it an installer?

Developer (3 edits)

So I upload a zip you can download and if you unzip and put in the unity editor, it should open in unity, is that ok, and if I make it play on the web do I still need to have source uploaded? For some reason if you open in in unity you cannot play the game right away you need to change in the menu screen and the sizes are kinda messed up in the editor. But you can still enjoy it as it should with the installer. I also added one with a github link the dude recommended. Is everything ok now? thanks

Your GitHub link is empty.

Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game. Here is an example of the files to include: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning

What about the zip. Downloading and just Unzipping it will give you full acces to assets packages and project settings. Does my entry still qualify? It's the Source Code.zip file And I tested it and it worked as I said previously. Forget GitHub That counts as source right is what you described. Thanks

Jam Host(+1)

Yup, your zip download will work! Mind removing your GitHub link?
