I've been struggling to find out how to make batteries and space ships, I've gotten a lab, and factory, in both scenarios I've made lightning rods but nothing seems to be happening. Also no, I haven't been playing in endless mode.
lab is the right route and playing thunder on/near the lightning rod will give you batteries!
