Figuring out a strategy for your game was fun, well done. Also the win screen lmao.

Some points of criticism:

  • I hate that you are not warned before you replace an existing building
  • White text on gray background is an absolute no-go
  • I would have liked to see some statistics at the end of the game
  • Don't automatically move away from the win screen if you spent time making it funny!
  • The economy is very hard to understand and I still don't think I fully do, e.g.: castles house 750 people but according to the daily popup numbers they also produce 750g? Food x (y/day), is x my stash? Is y the amount of food I need or the amount I produce?

1. Here the problem was that my code wasnt that good so when creating a new bulding and  all placed buildings were in different scripts and I I figured  changing things in the 2 most important files would not be a great thing to do in the last 10 minutes.

2. Yeah I get that point with the white text

3. I did not even thought about statistics good point

4. I know I could just listend for any key press to move on or created a button but I was in a rush to make this big game in this little time

5. Yeah a castle houses 750 People but they also make money in a lot of ways probably trading, black smithing and making other goods, In real life castles have a lot of utilites and so I figured I want to mimic this in the game.

The Food Display :

I currently have 6040 Food. The Number in the brackets is the total amount of food I will get or lose everyday the calculation for the total  amount of food per day is

(Amount of Food Created by all Buildings) - 2 * Population.  // People eat 2 ''food' per day

So to anwser your question. X is the amount of food your currently having , and y is the total amount you gain or lose per day.

Btw have you seen the You ran out of food screen ?

Oh, ok that explains why I failed the first few times, which also means...

Btw have you seen the You ran out of food screen ?

...yes, I have :)

I love animal crossing !  The choosen music was great. There is a small hidden ukraine flag at the title screen. And for a game created in such a short time this is amazing. Clear on of the best in this jam
