That's... very strange. The boot splash that just says "Cro-iba Arts"? Audio shouldn't even be playing at that screen! It should just go away in a couple of seconds. What are your specs? Do you have a controller plugged in? Does that happen every time you start the .exe?

Specs aren't great, windows 8 x64, Intel celeron 1037U, 4g ram. No controller, ~~I can't get it to even give me the audio now~~ right after sending this I got audio again, still on the cro-iba arts boot splash though! Its very likely an issue on my end using a 12 year old laptop

Seems like the game's still running under the boot splash, it just doesn't wanna show you... Try the GLES2 download I just uploaded, that's supposedly more widely compatible.
