I am very sorry about your experience. It seems as though we need to adjust our opening tutorial. Which was on the plate for a future update. From what I see here, You didn't know about the stress toy that manages sanity. Cameras are useful for keeping track of the girls, and the robot. But also there is a microgame where you need to utilize your cameras to fix various broken machinery.
I'll be sure to make optional training videos to serve as tutorials, and lore.
