Something I should have really clarified in the game is as soon as you spawn in front of you and a bit left is a teleporter that brings you to the other side of the map, making getting past Coner and his pals to progress a bit simpler.
Looking back on it really all the puzzles and things in this game are extremely hard by design, and that is not the best game design. I am hopefully going to have this difficulty problem fixed in my next game.
