i think i followed the instruction correctly but after executing it in linux (Manjaro), i still can't view it. for what it is worth, the file extension is .dcv.

full command used as follows:

[martin@martin-h110ma jav-it_v1.7.3_linux]$ ./jav-it catalog -d /home/martin/Downloads/decode

any suggestion is appreciated.

What are you trying to do here? It sounds like your trying to catalogue a directory, but your directory is empty?

I want to strip the encryption so I can use regular player to play the video.

You need to use the "download" command in order to place-shift videos. If you already have previously downloaded videos, they will not be able to be decrypted since those keys are long gone. Just download them again and you should be fine.

Sorry. Can you explain how to use that download command? I don't think I read about it in the tutorial that comes with the app.

You would need to enter something like this:

./jav-it download -c cookies.txt -i rbd00333 -o /home/user/myJav --server=r18

Where cookies is your "cookies.txt" file you dumped from your browser, "rbd00333" is the video id, "/home/user/myJav" is the place you wish to save your videos to, and "r18" is the server your trying to hit. For more information I suggest you read the README.txt, or search the forums as I'm pretty sure this has been asked before.

Cheers!
