Nice and unique concept that fits the limitation perfectly. I only wish there were a clearer distinction between the players and the lit walls, not only a small difference in the light radius.
It's amazing you got all that done with only vanilla JS without even a text editor capable of syntax highlighting, by the way! If you didn't limit yourself like this, who knows how much more you could make.
