Sorry, the "WInRAR" I downloaded was just a folder with a couple of files that does nothing

With the folder rename and put .app at the end. hoodie messed up the .app process.

MAC right? make you get either the normal or 64 depends on you computer.

right, I am at the last part, I typed in the command it told me to and never told me how to complete it

oh and, it never told me how to change the active path to the directory

Okay forget winrar then and try unarchiver. That should beable to extract rar files as well.

Make sure to redownload the mac version of the game just incase. extract the rar file and it should extract and .app file, double click it and it should start. I think, since macs make it way to confusing.
