If you paid $5 - then you won't be able to download this version until it costs $5. We already wrote that those people who paid $10 will receive the game on the day of release. It's currently in early access for $10 - so you can either pay $10 and get the game right now, or wait until it's $5 (which will be in 1-2 weeks).
If I bought at a half-off discount, doesn't it mean that I should get access to price tiers double what I paid. You don't get to call the new "20$-50%" tier the same as the old "10$ at full price" tier.
Edit: P.S. Don't use the prices after the discount to refer to the price tiers. Release day access is listed as 20$-50%=10$ until April 30th. It's shouldn't be equated to a "10$ purchase" if the product is listed to be on discount. Imagine buying a game on steam for -50%, and after the discount period ends you lose access until you pay the remaining 50%.
This site is not set up the way Steam is set up. If you bought something for $5, then you get it for $5. If I add a new version for $10, then you won't be able to get it, because. paid $5. Yes, it's weird. Is it fair? No. But there's nothing I can do. This is how this site works. The only solution I can offer you is to refund $5 and add $5 to buy the game for $10.
Steam works completely differently. There, if you bought a product - you get it forever. Why the developers of this site do not do so - the answer must be asked from them.
