I forgot how exactly but I think if you wait for a quest to go see upper New ark, the tattoo parlor will be able to manufacture your bad looking cards into good looking cards that have yet to fail me.(and if you have good nimble stats you can recreate the cards for yourself if you can afford a pen and the bad looking cards).
