Nope i'm using the Itch PC download App it's a been a good way of updating/installing the windows version while maintaining my saves

I don't really know what's the issue then. Do you mean when we are going to release chapter 8 here? Because we just did that yesterday. Plus your save is separated from the game files so even if you delete all the files your save should till be there when you download a new version.

I can't seem download the game as there is no game for the app to find. Usually the download file and version would be above the install path I thought it odd when you announced the update that the game didn't update so I tried to reinstall and was met with this

Honestly, I don't really know. I have done nothing different from what I usually do. But I think the problem is on your end, if you look closer at the error, it is pointing at files on your computer. Maybe some corrupted files? Perhaps reinstalling the Itch.io app would solve it? If not I would advise asking for support from the Itch.io staff as I don't directly interact with their app when I upload files to their site.

Yeah looked into the error myself it's apparently a known issue https://itch.io/t/314040/cant-download-some-games-through-the-desktop-applicatio... I've followed the advice in this post so hopefully it'll be sorted out soon if not i'll bite the bullet and install winzip to download using my browser (personally I blame my overreliance on steam) cos I really wanna continue my romance with Eleanor thank you for your time!
