Help him out, have 10 or 15 likes, find emerine stones at the emerine hideout cave which is the mid left door in the cave complex, must have 15+? perception. Also find glafire stones through the lowest door in the cave complex .. or it was further beyond at Mythshore?
Show the stones to him and you should have access now.
