lmao I memorized the lyrics to Reflection from Mulan so I could get a part in a play back in 6th grade. I ended up being like the worst there since I couldn’t dance, and am a kinda trash actor with an average voice so I guess I can add Mulan to the list of failed acting tries. The list is:

Goldilocks

Cinderella

Snow White

Oliver Twist

Mulan

and those were all the plays I ever tried out for. Hooray to that crushed dream! So many songs memorized only for me to realize I am a theatric hurricane who will never get a part in theatre.

Maybe you could apply to be a stage hand or something. I know it isn't nearly as fun, but if you just want to be a part of the theatre, that's a great way to do it. I auditioned for every play in high school, the first time they just dismissed me, second time I got to work backstage working curtains and cues, third time I was put on backstage, but got to play a background character for a scene, and senior year I got a named role. Keep trying, perseverance is often rewarded.

unfortunately they don’t give us a backstage option at my school. Either a role or nothing. They aren’t exactly the best school.
