As you can probably see from the title, eating just straight up does not work. I was wondering what the objective of the game was so I found a playthrough of it, and seconds in I saw them squash a frog and eat it. That just, does not work in this version. pls fix, this game seems fun.

It works. You just need to press "E" to eat squished animals. I still have no idea what to do in the game :V

eat was changed to a button to allow the player to choose what to eat / evolve into
