She managed to grab the key as he stepped back-a sudden lurch of the boat caused her to slide back, her shoulder cracking against metal. She felt a hot throb in her arm. The first mate stumbled, barely catching himself.

His tongue slid out of his mouth slightly, while she couldn't see it, it.. was like a snakes tongue, (idk, I know sirens tongues are rather, long in a sense- -w-), while not thin.. it still was a bit freaky along with his glare-
