so I convinced my mom to give MHA a shot and we actually got through season one-she didn't keep up with it cuz she actually really liked the story and some of the characters, but the misogyny in anime bothers her a lot-like she knows it's a cultural difference she just can't get past it. BUT-
We got to Todoroki. And I start losing my shit every time he's on screen. Because it's Todoroki. And we get through the LOV attack and he's been a badass, and I'm sitting there like 'YES TODOROKI, YOU GO YOU HOT MOTHERFUCKER-' and she just looks over at me and is like '....yeah he's fucking awesome.'
she said she'd try Attack on Titan with me since there's not really any fanservice-but she doesn't like violence so we're not sure how that's gonna go. And see she really likes cartoons is the thing so that's why. Like ATLA is her favorite show, closely followed by Steven Universe. We have fights over which is better She-Ra or Steven. I say She-Ra.
