It's true, I'm afraid there is only 2 ways to fix it.
First one is to try and force v-sync in the game, however only the nvidia control panel has any chance of working
Second one, get an adaptive refresh rate monitor (ik very helpful)
Sadly, neither of those options are easily do-able, as I’m using a laptop, so I guess I’ll just suck it up.
