Following the popular pixel filter games of recent memory, Don't Answer uses it well. I do think it is becoming cliche though. The game thus far needs more ambient sound and music. Also missing is additional backstory which could come in the form of notes or contact with the protag's friend (heard in the beginning of the game). Would have also been nice to use the weapon!
