Travers Tale is an engaging turn-based RPG. The idea of the game is straightforward to understand, and it can be easy to progress through the game in its current state; nonetheless, the ending boss took me a few tries, which was challenging and fun. Don’t get me wrong, when this game is finished; I’ll definitely be playing it because I admire the art and how the characters interact with each other. Another aspect I enjoy is the way you move through the maps by clicking where you want the character to go instead of trying to press “WASD,” which makes this game a lot easier to progress through. The graphics remind me of Final Fantasy V and are so pleasing to the eyes. There are grammar issues in its present state; however, the developer was very kind and understanding about this; things like this can easily slip through with very intricate games with many characters. I will be keeping up with this dev team and anticipating any new updates and releases. Games like this remind me of when I was younger and played RPG games on my GameBoy, and it’s so evocative. I am very thankful that I found this game on Reddit and downloaded the link for the game on itch.io. There are a few game-breaking designs; an example is when I bypassed all the standard enemies and only attacked the bosses unknowingly but went back after I realized that I did that. I also hope the dev team updates the price of drops, as the Dragon staff that you get from the Ice King is worth 3840 Gold. This is more than enough to purchase anything else you might need in the game, and that helped me farm for gold for potions and armor a lot easier than you’d think. All in all, I am very excited to see the final version of this game and everything else this dev team has to offer
