The loading screen says cannot read property 'name' of null, i don't understand what's happening.

That's a save file corruption error.

Try and load your quick save file instead. If that one is corrupted too, switch to your back-up save file. Find your back-up save file here:

1. Open your Itch App  and find Tailor Tales. Click the cogwheel, then click manage. Then click 'open folder in explorer' and browse to this location: Tailor Tales > www > save
2. There is a file in there called file1.rpgsave and that is your main file. Rename it to something else, such as "file1_old.rpgsave".
3. There's another file in there called file3.rpgsave and this is your back-up file. Rename the back-up file to file1.rpgsave to set it as your main file.
4. Open up the game and load your manual save file; you should now be running from your back-up file.
