Ok now we begin in earnest-

Snow was in her bedroom-she was always in there, especially when the queen was throwing a party-she wasn't allowed in the throne room or the ballroom-any of the rooms where there might be nobility really-she was feeding a bird that had flown in through the window when she heard the sounds of one of the queen's parties starting downstairs.

the prince slipped away from the large crowed and found himself upstairs

o-oh-I was uh-I was planning a thing-

(1 edit)

oh sor, you can do the thing

okokok-

Snow heard the sounds of the party starting, fanfare filling her room. She bit her lip nervously, hesitating, before opening the door and creeping down the stairs.

The ballroom was filled with people, music was playing

The queen was lounging on her throne, watching the people. She was dressed to the nines. She was approached by a baron-one of the more annoying of the gentry to be honest-he was older and extremely pompous.

?: "Your highness, forgive me but I feel that it's my duty to inform you of the rumors I've been hearing..."

Queen (but not Queenie >:( ): "speak"

pft-

?: "Well, there have been rumors that the kingdom is close to destitute. If we were to join our two houses in marriage...I feel the gentry would be reassured that the kingdom is stable once again."

The thing is, this rumor was actually true-and the queen had a feeling her manservant and resident bootlicker-who stood right behind her throne-was the one who had spilled.

Queen: she sighed, irrtated "that is true."
