Are you going through it before or after rescuing Anya?
The are is indeed a little more difficult than the usual but after that mission it is optional and for grinding purposes.
I have plans to balance these areas to be less frustrating
I suggest taking Ina and Azki for sure on that area, as Ina has 100% immunity to attacks like Soth, Polka and Lamy on their second class have confusion immunity, so that may help as well
