Hi omg sorry for the late reply. Sorry the controls are wonky. It is totally possible to get past the blue eye once you're accustomed with the controls. You can only press one arrow key at a time. Maybe try pressing the other arrow key only once it stops gliding. When you get to the door you have to press spacebar to unlock and then move past the door.
