"Maria wants you to go the Refuge in the evening. She wants to talk about something important. Requirement: Maria level 4."
You simply have to go to the Refuge from anywhere, it is not enough to be already in the Refuge. I hope you are playing 0.7.2 and you didn't use the trust potions on Maria or any girl to over-level her because you break the game. This is already fixed in 0.7.2 so it doesn't happen but it doesn't fix that you over-leveled the girls because checking that would be crazy in the code so whoever over-leveled voluntarily (breaking how the girl mechanic works: new level -> you can't continue until you finish her task), must start a game from scratch. If it's only one girl that is giving problems I can fix it if you share via DM in discord your save-file.
