.. But what wasn’t fine.. was the now broken ship.. while sure, it had stayed together for just a few moments after the wave hit, deku soon would remember the wood crackling of the ship snapping into two.. the screams of the people on board seeming to.. Die down..

He swam as fast as he possibly could over to the wreckage of the ship, adrenaline taking over

At the moment, he wasn’t actually able to do anything.. he was being forced to swim back constant at times, due to falling debris.. but.. when he thought that.. the one person in his life to admire him.. was lost.. he saw a slightly glimpse.. of his white and mystical red hair..

He cut through the wreckage, swimming over to him and wrapping an arm around his waist, struggling to make his way up to the surface with the added weight

It seemed like he was unconscious.. but by some miracle, the worst injury he suffered was yet a few bruises, and a scratch along his cheek.. his arms laid limp in the water as he didn’t seem to move much of a muscle.. that.. started to scare deku.. for the obvious..

"No....nonono-I-I won't let you die!!"

He broke above the surface, carrying Todoroki around his waist and making sure his upperhalf was above the water, one arm draped over Deku's shoulders as he frantically swam to shore, not caring that his muscles burned, or his body was tired, fighting through the rough waves.

..The shore was getting ever so close.. it would soon be over, and he would be able to save his love.. he just needed to keep going for a bit longer.. no matter the pain.. nor how much the waves were getting to him..
