Ren is a vampire prince, living eternally with his mother, father and sister alongside their immortal court, doomed to never age. Luckily for him, his parents are often out of the castle since they are the head of the vampire monarchy, so at least he doesn't have to contend with them. What he does have to contend with, however, is the stupid and ancient customs forced on him by the various members of the royal court. Every year, he is offered a mortal sacrifice that is meant to quench his thirst until it perishes, generally within said year. Ren has always turned away the offerings much to the dismay of the other nobles, but this year, this year the mortal they've brought him is....perfect....
Katsuki is one of the vampire knights, tasked with protecting the nobility and upholding their sacred ways with the aid of their beastly soldiers, the werewolves they train and harness the power of to do their bidding. Each knight is assigned one to care for, but Katsuki has yet to find one that he has been able to form a bond with. When he finds a lost werewolf out in the woods however, this is quick to change. Romance has always been forbidden between vampires and werewolves, but then again, Katsuki always has been a rule breaker...
