He saw an archway leading out onto a narrow rose walk near the temple altar

he sped walked towwards it, panicking if gaurds saw him without the prince

He walked down the path, lined with wild, winding roses, and finally reached a small, closed off section of the gardens, a long-since emptied crumpling stone fountain standing in front of a small marble bench. And sitting on the bench, surrounded by large tiger lilies, was Asran. He was curled up in a ball, body racked with sobs.

"Mph-m-mnn-"

"a asran?"

he looked down, saddened

"HF-"

He looked up, startled

"h h hey...i n never wanted t t this war...i ive always a admired your kind...i im sorry if i scare you-"

"Oh-Oh gods no-no i-it's not that-I-I'm not frightened by you-I-I-I'm r-really sorry if I gave you that impression it has nothing to do with you really-"

He rambled nervously, wings fluttering so quickly in his anxiety-he was the type to over apologize-

he sat on the bench, offering a hand up

"l lets just sit and talk calmly okay?"

"..."

He nodded, wings drooping as he softly took his hand, sitting up and looking up at him with teary blue-green eyes

he gentle wiped away a tear

"shhh deep breaths b bud"
