As for saving in hard mode Lisapi explains it to you when you choose this mode...
Although the hard mode will change in 0.9 as I'm going to redo the whole intro (without affecting the plot) and I'm going to do a complete rework to the hard mode both consequences and rewards and use it to add pregnancy as a punishment (Aynia's blessing will be canceled following logic and seeing pregnant girls will be totally optional, just like pee and feet) and a "mood" system for the girls but I can't give much more details until I get to work on it.
