He was already out of the house- he started to run into the forest. When the cop got there- he had shot Daniel in his leg..but that didn't stop him. His adrenaline was HIGH.

The shouting soon quieted down...it sounded as if they were being muffled...but that was because of the distance...and the ringing in his ears
