Long ago, when Ren and Kai were kids, they made a promise to each other that they would always be bestfriends- even thought Kai was a mermaid. 10 years later, when Ren's family found out he had powers- Ren was 16 and his family moved to Tokyo Japan, in order for him to go to UA high. He ends up being one of the best heroes in the world. On his 21th birthday, someone shows up that he's never seen before..so he thought. He was all human like- nothing odd about him. They end up talking to each other at the end of the party. Turns out, that someone was Kai. Kai trys to convince Ren that It's him- but Ren doesn't believe it. How will Kai convince Ren that it actually is him?
