What you've got so far is pretty cool, I love the visuals, the music, and the setting. I don't really get how the battle system works, though I managed to win the fights I found anyway before it hung at the end of the esophagus. Looking forward to the completed project!

Unfortunately, what you encountered was not a battle system but an unfinished placeholder minigame where you were supposed to farm tolerance to get more teeth and tissue without instant game over. "Teeth" were supposed to be used with "throw" command to deal a ton of damage without retaliation from enemies but were VERY limited in how much you get and "tissue" is used for "healing".

As for hanging at The Esophagus, that's where the game currently ends. I've failed to iron out a competent battle system in time and had no enemies introduced in  The Esophagus even though I've made the assets. Hell, looking at things as is, there is a ton more work needed to be done before the project will be considered "acceptable", thinking that i'll be able to do things in a week without productively working with Godot ever before was arrogant on my part.

I think that accomplishing even this much totally from scratch in Godot is something you should be proud of, especially if you managed to do all this in a week. Looking forward to it!

I think my ego's just grown two  times bigger than it needs to...  Better start working before this project gets stuck in development hell!
