It's a bit random, especially with the time. Keep going in or out of Ste's house and it will prompt you to snoop/sneak around or leave. It's when Ste doesn't greet you on entry.
thanks a lot, got it to trigger, now i also need to see this with not bottom logan, i wonder how it changes things, but for that i would need to do whole farmstead again:D
