ok then we shalt start withhhhhh-Patton.

Patton's legs trembled as he walked deeper into the forest, threatening to give out on him at any moment. Just 5 more steps. 5 more steps and then he'd rest. And then......he tried not to think about it. About what would happen when the Naga inevitably caught him-and it WOULD catch him-even if he was big and strong like the other men in his village-and his skinny, shaking arms and legs were clear visual evidence to the contrary-he couldn't exactly escape the Naga's forest...the large barrier of thick white mist that screamed magic prevented anyone from ever leaving-he'd never find his way home. And what even was there for him at home...? People who had dragged him out of bed in the middle of the night, kicking and screaming, tied his hands behind his back and dragged him into the woods, laughing every time he let out a frightened sob or squeak. His hands were still tied now...but he was too tired to even care, too tired to do anything but stumble along, occasional tears slipping down his face.

The farther he stumble...the more the mist seemed to close in on him, and yet it seemed so far...the sound of him crying made him feel like crying is all he was good for...but he had at least had a sliver hope that maybe...just maybe...he'll make it out of this magical forest...he heard sounds not to long ago...but that could've been just branches breaking...right?

He stayed hopeful. There were other creatures in this forest, other animals-it was probably one of them, there was no reason to assume the worst...maybe it was one of the other sacrifices. After all, there were three others, right? Maybe they could all escape together. Maybe-maybe it would all be alright...

And the thing that made him believe this...Lie i should say, is that a little deer had ran past the path he was walking with, the back if it being covered it little leaves and sticks...the path behind it was covered in branches and other things...but really, he should've trusted his belief

He let out a small sob of relief as he saw this path, on the verge of melting into a puddle-animals. There were animals-and they HAD to be able to get in and out of the forest-he could escape! He started to walk down the path with newfound determination, even as the ropes around his wrists rubbed them raw, even as he nearly tripped and fell-he was smiling, beaming with relief-

Yet he noticed some rather...strange trails, it seemed as if someone...or something had been dragged against the grass...now covered in dew, has something other than the animals been there? No no no, he couldn't think of that right now, it could've just been the multiple animals had walked there...right?

He just kept walking, clinging desperately to that shred of hope-

As he did...his wrist felt just horrible, yet no matter how bad it hurt...how bad his feet felt sore...he just kept walking

you-gonna-snake boi...?

He even went as far as to hum a little, spirits raised

lol yessss -w-

But that quickly stopped as he heard that familiar dragging sound...coming just from the left...no the right...where is it coming from, it sounds as if there coming from all directions..
