He slowly set her on the side of him, then laid her head on his lap

He smiled and laid his head back after grabbing his gun, setting it next to him..
Her heart was beating out of her chest
He drifted slowly asleep as his head rested on her shoulder...
She was blushing as she slowly drifted off to sleep as well, feeling comfortable for the first time in a long time...

When he woke up, he was laying with a swan curled up in the crook of his arm-the sun had come up.
He looked around and looked back down...smiling as he gently petted it's head
It flapped it's wings a little, shifting a bit in it's sleep as it sighed contentedly
