Baptism Of Truth is a two player trpg. You are one of those players. The other is a 60,000 year old woman named Pataji.

The PDF is 6 pages, with a straightforward layout that understands that the scariest part of horror is what you don't show.

Baptism has a strong cosmic horror vibe, and would be an almost perfect conversion to something like Delta Green or Hunter.

Story-wise, Pataji has objectives. You willingly help her achieve them. And those objectives might follow some kind of ethics in an extremely long view of things---or they might not, if she's lying to you about anything.

Mechanics-wise, there's no dice. You and Pataji decide whether actions succeed---although the rules give you guidance on what is realistic and what isn't.

I don't want to spoil the effect of reading the game, but the writing is exceptionally strong and it's very emotionally effective.

At the same time, this isn't a pure lyric game. It's very playable, and it should be quite intense if you do.

Overall, if you like horror that gets a bit in your head, if you like good writing, and if you're fishing for a scenario seed for your next modern horror rpg, I would strongly recommend picking this up.
