Hi urmom2006! If you met John in the dining area going to the kitchen, you will have to go to the play room (mini casino) to ditch him. If you stumbled upon him in the library or bedroom then press the "Z" key when you're in front of the closet. Press twice just to make sure. Hope this helps!
