I LIED I HAVE A GOOD RP IDEA AHEM AHEM-
so basically, in this universe some kids have powers, but generally, those kids are mistreated. People fear their powers, so it's not uncommon to hear of "mutants" being abandoned or even killed. Because of that, shelters for mutant kids were started, basically orphanages where they would teach the kids to control their powers, and kind families would adopt them. Two kids were raised together in one of these shelters. They were best friends and as they grew older started to develop feelings for each other. Everything was perfect until they discovered-these orphanages weren't the safe spaces they thought. The kids WERE being taught to control their powers, and to make them stronger, but they weren't going to good, loving homes. They were going to black markets, human traffickers, the military-anywhere they could be used and sold for money. And if the kids reached 16 and were still unsold? They "aged out" of the system-the orphanage owners would kill them. The two kids made plans to escape together and things were perfect...until they got sold off. One after the other. Years passed and the two grew up, surviving the horrible conditions they were under.They thought they'd never see each other again...and yet...
