In fact, I would recommend better to play on Quest, since there are lots of fast movements in all directions that you may have to perform. You are right that the Rift and Quest versions don't differ in quality (at least on the level of textures, however there are subtle differences in lighting). Unfortunately, making it work for Revive or Index would mean porting the game to the Steam VR library from Oculus, which is not possible so far
