In reality there wasn't really a point-he was steadily going blind. (He has Cruetzfeldt-Jakob syndrome by the way-he's still in the earlier stages)
His movements were a bit stiff, and the books slipped out of his hands-but he very quickly-almost jerkily-picked them up
He nodded
"M-Mhm!"
"T-Thanks..."
He smiled at him before walking away-again, he carried himself pretty stiffly
