He was still going through the pain.

He didnt take it, he was paralyzed and he couldn't do anything whike just laying on the ground feeling nothing but pain.
His screams slowed but the pain was still affecting him..all he could feel was pain even though she gave him a pain numer.
He wasn't talking, he was just laying down. Whatever power she gave him wasn't a good one, even after that he still couldn't activate his power. What she was giving was killing him but the small power he had was keeping him alive.
