As he was walking, the woods grew deeper and denser, branches twisting upward and blocking out the sun. This part of the forest was old...it felt...foreboding somehow...his horse suddenly bucked, spooked by some unknown source, throwing Liam off it's back and galloping off into the trees. He was alone in this strange part of the woods...and the sun was rapidly beginning to set

The horse was gone...and looking back behind him he could barely even tell what was the path and what wasn't. He was completely lost. There was no choice...he had to just keep going, and hope it didn't get too dark

He trudged on, sun setting slowly as he walked. Just as he was starting to see the first hint of stars in the sky, the path opened up onto a clearing. There was a large, crystal blue lake, water strangely still. It was peaceful...calming, despite his circumstances.

He saw a small blob of white a ways off in the lake, floating in his direction towards the shore. As it got closer, he saw it was a swan.

The sun started to sink below the treeline and the swan started trying to swim faster, getting closer to the shore-the sun set...and the swan transformed
